Tricia Griffith

Since joining the company in 1988 as an entry-level claims representative, Tricia helped Progressive become the top choice for auto, home and other insurance, leading the company to historic growth. Since then, she has held several leadership positions, including Chief Human Resources Officer, President of Claims, President of Customer Operations, and Personal Lines Chief Operating Officer. During her tenure as CEO, Tricia has led the company to historic growth. Much of that growth is the result of her approach to increase the company’s business among customers who bundle home and auto insurance. Under her leadership, these customers have increased from 400,000 to over 1 million. She was the first woman to be named Fortune Magazine’s Businessperson of the Year, and was named to Barron’s 2020 “Top 25 CEO’s.” Tricia was named among Fortune’s “Most Powerful Women in Business” for the last six years; for the last four years, she has been named one of Forbes’ “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.”
