Ann M. Drake

Ann Drake is Chairman and CEO of DSC Logistics, one of the nation’s leading supply chain management companies. As CEO, Ann has guided DSC through continual transformation aimed at providing supply chain leadership to customers with changing needs. She and her team have implemented a series of structural and strategic initiatives resulting in a focus on integrated supply chain solutions and a business model based on collaborative partnerships. Today, DSC’s customers and partners include leading companies in industries such as food and consumer goods, health care and medical devices, electronics, and paper products.

In 2012, Ann received the highest honor presented by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals – the Distinguished Service Award. She is the first woman to be selected for the award in its 47-year history. Also in 2012, she received the Alumni Merit Award from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and, in 2009, was named “Industry Leader of the Year” by the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Ann was a member on the Boards of A.M. Castle Company (NYSE: CAS), a global distributor of specialty metals and on the Committee of 200 (C200). She is Vice Chair, Chicago’s Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) and former Vice Chair, Business Advisory Council, Transportation Center, Northwestern University. Active in the community, Ann serves as strategy leader in transportation and infrastructure for Mayor Emanuel’s World Business Chicago Economic Growth Plan.

Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Iowa and her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

She is also the founder of AWESOME, Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education. “The goal of AWESOME is to bring the leading female supply chain executives together and explore all the new connections and collaborations.
