Roxanne Martino is the Co-Founder of OceanM19, a single-family investment office. Ms. Martino serves as The Lead Independent Director of Ventas, Inc., (NYSE: VTR), an S&P 500 company which is a top-tier real estate investment trust. Ms. Martino serves on the Board of Advisors at Morgan Street Holdings and HAVI.
Roxanne Martino was the Chief Executive Officer and Investment Committee Chairperson of Aurora Investment Management L.L.C., managing $14 billion at Aurora’s peak. For over 28 years, Aurora provided portfolio solutions, through hedge fund investment management, to investors worldwide.
Ms. Martino is a Member and past Chairperson of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business Council. Ms. Martino is a Member and past Chairperson of the Board of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and its Medical Center as well as Chair of its Nominating and Governance Committee and Member of its Executive Committee. For over 34 years, she has been a Director of Thresholds (a past Chairperson). She is a Member of The Chicago Network as well as a Member of The Economic Club of Chicago. She served three terms as a Director of The Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. Ms. Martino served on the Board of Bottom Line Chicago. She is a Life Trustee of Fenwick High School. She is a Member and past Chairperson of the Mendoza College of Business Council of The University of Notre Dame.
In 2025, Ms. Martino was selected to receive The University of Chicago Booth’s Distinguished Alumni Award for exemplifying exceptional professional achievements in her career and a steadfast commitment to advancing the mission of The University of Chicago Booth through ongoing engagement. In 2024, Ms. Martino was awarded the Fenwick High School Lumen Tranquillum Award for her outstanding work with children and young adults. In 2015, Ms. Martino was inducted into the InvestHedge Fund of Hedge Funds Hall of Fame in London and was recognized as one of “50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds” by the Hedge Fund Journal.
Ms. Martino spent the first 7 years of her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Subsequently, she spent over six years at Grosvenor Capital Management, where she was a general partner.
Ms. Martino received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame in 1977 and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago in 1988.
