Patricia Saldaña Natke is President and Design Principal of UrbanWorks, an architecture, planning, and interior design firm in Chicago. At UrbanWorks, Pat is responsible for the visionary design direction.
Pat has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Graduate School of Architecture, Facilitator at Archeworks, and is currently a Part Time Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology School of Architecture for the Advanced Design Studios.
Urbanworks has won over twenty planning and architecture design awards within the last four years.
Firm awards include: the 2013 1st Place Dreihaus Award for Excellence in Community Design for the LaCasa Student Housing; 2013 Building Congress Award Finalist for the Galewood Elementary School, the 2011 AIA Chicago Chapter Design Excellence Award Distinguished Building for the UNO Veterans Charter School; 2011 AIA Chicago Small Project Award for the Automobile Container; 2011 AIA Chicago Urban and Regional Planning Award for Gary Groundplanes in Gary, Indiana; 2010 1st Place Dreihaus Award for Excellence in Community Design for UNO Veterans Charter School.
Pat was named one of “Five 2014 Emerging Designers” in Crain’s Chicago, and listed in “50 Designers Shaping Chicago” by NewCity in 2014.
