Laura Dempsey Brown

Laura Dempsey Brown currently serves on the Board of Directors of Helios Technologies, a global industrial manufacturer. She chairs the ESG committee and currently serves on the Audit committee. She previously chaired the Audit Committee and has served on the Nominating and Compensations Committees. She has been a director since 2020. Laura also served on the Board of Directors of Tevva Motors from 2021 until 2023, an electric vehicle start-up based in London. She chaired the Audit and Remuneration Committees.

Ms. Brown retired from Grainger in 2018. She was named Senior Vice President, Communications and Investor Relations in 2010. She was responsible for Grainger’s internal and external communications, public affairs, and investor relations teams. Prior to Investor Relations, Ms. Brown served as Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Finance for Grainger’s field sales, operations, marketing and e-business functions. Ms. Brown joined Grainger in 2000 as Vice President for Grainger.com.

Prior to joining Grainger, Ms. Brown was a Vice President at Alliant Foodservice and at Dietary Products at Baxter. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and obtained designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 1985.

Ms. Brown is currently a member of NACD, The Chicago Network, the Kelley School of Business Dean’s Council and The International Women’s Forum. She is also former Board chair of Make A Wish Illinois.
