Jan is an independent director with significant board and committee experience, a Chief Executive Officer of an International Consulting Company, a Fortune 20 corporate officer, an author, and a keynote speaker. Jan has proven success in public, private and government service over the last 30 years in both healthcare, life sciences, veterinary care and consumer goods/services. This tri-sector experience including her role at CVS Health and Health Intelligence Partners has been translated into her roles in the board room. In 2019, Jan was recognized by Crain’s Business Chicago as a Notable LGBTQ Executive, in 2022 she was recognized by Mogul as a top 100 DEI Leader, 2023 recognized by Directors and Boards as an Outstanding Director of a Public Company and in 2023 and 2024 Recognized in The Global Who’s Who in Trust, Ethics and Leadership.

For 11 years, Jan served as Executive Vice President, Chief Innovation and Medical Officer for CVS Health responsible for a $500 million dollar division of the company including retail healthcare, development and upsell of Population Health services, and monetization of data through a B2B and B2C model. During that time, she was a corporate officer and on the executive team with broad set of responsibilities including Minute Clinic, government programs clinical programs, and ancillary services. She was also responsible for the development and operations of CVS Health’s Medicare Part D program. Before going to CVS Caremark, Jan had 15 years’ experience in healthcare administration, led operations for two population health companies and was a senior executive for a Regional Health Plan.

Since 2009 Jan has been the CEO of Health Intelligence Partners as a global consultancy. The organization has a significant international (engagements in 16 countries with both Health Organizations, National Ministries of Health, and Consumer-focused organizations) and U.S. focus, working with clients on areas of growth at the intersection of strategy and operations with deep expertise in consumer engagement. As part of her consulting engagements, Jan has also consulted several publicly traded and PE backed corporate boards. Jan’s deep knowledge in cross stakeholder integration of products has created increased corporate growth and shareholder value.

In addition to her corporate work, Jan has diverse and deep experience on publicly traded, privately held and P.E based corporate boards both in the U.S. and Internationally. Jan’s board leadership experience includes healthcare, life sciences, veterinary and consumer product boards. Her board experience has given Jan experience in crisis management, activist, and M & A activities.

She presently sits on healthcare and life sciences focused boards including UCB Pharmaceuticals, BC Platform (Chair), Upfront Healthcare and Aitia Healthcare (Lead Independent Board Member, Vice Chair of the Board, Chair of Compensation and Governance, Member: Audit Committee; Jan’s previous board experience includes: Cambia Health Solutions (Audit & Compliance Committee, Health Services Committee), Tabula Rasa (Public. Member: Nominations, Audit, Governance, Strategy), Voluntis (Public. Jan’s consumer focused boards have included Savor Health, Care Heroes and Whiskerdocs, a veterinary telehealth service company. She also sits on numerous business and healthcare advisory boards.

Jan has recently released, Re-Engaging in Trust: The Missing Ingredient in Fixing Healthcare. As the author of five books and editorial activity on several healthcare journals, Jan is considered a national thought leader on the importance of creating trust as a foundation in an organization’s corporate sustainability strategies.

Jan holds a Doctor of Medicine degree, a Master’s in Jurisprudence from Loyola University in Chicago, Certificate in Healthcare Business Administration from University of South Florida, and Board Director Certification for Kellogg School of Management and a black belt in Six Sigma.
