Diana Ferguson

Diana S. Ferguson is an experienced financial executive with a track record of success in corporate financial management, strategic planning and transaction execution. She is a qualified financial expert with substantial public company board experience.

Ms. Ferguson currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Cleveland Avenue LLC, a privately-held venture capital and consulting firm. In 2013 Ms. Ferguson founded Scarlett Investments LLC a business that invests in and advises middle market businesses with a primary focus in consumer products. Previously, she served as Chief Financial Officer of the Chicago Board of Education where she led a staff of 200+ professionals and was responsible for managing all aspects of the organization’s $6 billion+ financial operations. Earlier, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Folgers Coffee Company and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Merisant Worldwide.

Ms. Ferguson gained operating finance experience as Senior Vice President and CFO of Sara Lee Foodservice. She previously served as Sara Lee Corporation’s Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development where she played a leadership role in the company’s portfolio transformation including the successful spin-off of Hanesbrands Inc. (HBI:NYSE) as well as several business divestitures and acquisitions. Earlier, Ms. Ferguson was Vice President and Treasurer of Sara Lee Corporation.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Ferguson held various financial management positions at several Fortune 500 firms including: Fort James Corporation, Eaton Corporation, and Federal National Mortgage Association.

Since 2014 Ms. Ferguson has served on the board of Frontier Communications (FTR:NASDAQ) where she serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee and chairs the Compensation Committee. In 2018, Ms. Ferguson joined the board of Invacare Corporation (IVC:NYSE) and serves on the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee. Ms. Ferguson joined the board of Sally Beauty Holdings (SBH:NYSE) in 2019 and serves on the Audit Committee and is Vice Chair of the Compensation Committee. In 2020, Ms. Ferguson joined the board of Mattel Inc. (MAT:NASDAQ) where she chairs the Audit Committee. From 2008 to 2016, Ms. Ferguson was a member of the board of directors of TreeHouse Foods (THS:NYSE) where she chaired the Audit Committee for three years and served on the Compensation Committee and the Nominating & Governance Committee.

Ms. Ferguson is a Trustee of Groton School where she serves as Treasurer. She is also a member of The Chicago Network and The Economic Club of Chicago.

Ms. Ferguson holds a bachelor of arts degree from Yale University and a master of management degree from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management.
