Ana Dutra is a Global, Veteran Board Director, 2X CEO, and Fortune 250 Senior Executive who advises public, private, PE and family-owned company boards drawing from 30+ years of strategic governance and P&L experience – building $500M+ businesses organically and via M&A, advancing Technology/Digital and Cybersecurity practices, guiding ESG/Sustainability strategies, and mitigating risk. She is a highly experienced Nom/Gov and Compensation/Human Capital Chair, and key member of Audit, Strategy, Risk, and Market Regulation Committees in very regulated industries and rapidly evolving global markets.
Notably, as the first Latina and person of color on many boards, Ana is highly respected and trusted among board colleagues and Management not only for her operational leadership across +25 countries in public/Fortune 250 companies as CEO and Senior Executive, but also for governance on 8 public/11+ private, PE or family-owned boards.
Ana serves on the board of leading energy transportation service provider, Pembina Pipeline, where she provides Corporate Strategy/ M&A, Cybersecurity, Climate, Digital, and Human Capital expertise. As the only recognized Climate/and Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) on the board, she guided Pembina’s Cybersecurity framework/dashboard with Management. Ana also serves on the board of the iconic e-commerce auto/service company Carparts.com, providing Strategy, Digital, Governance, and Human Capital experience, and where she is co-chairing the company’s turnaround and transformation.
Previously, Ana served on the board of Amyris, the first global synthetic biotech, chairing the Nom/ Gov committee, providing strategic/financial governance and overseeing ESG strategy. She advised on the beauty industry and Latin American markets, where the company had significant operations. Critically, she guided Amyris through its global transformation into a pure B2B synthetic biotech/ingredients company.
Particularly noteworthy is Ana’s ability to provide oversight to public company boards with complex structures in navigating change within global markets. She was the first dual citizen (Brazilian/US) on the board of Eletropar/Eletrobras (NYSE: EBR), the largest utility in LatAm, 10th largest globally, and 4th largest global clean energy company. Ana guided best practices, M&As, ESG/Sustainability and Climate credibility, restructuring, M&As, and divestitures for a govt. company that participates in electric energy in Brazil.
Ana also provides governance oversight in highly regulated financial services industries, serving on the boards of CME Group ($75B mkt cap), guiding Risk, Market Regulation, & Comp. Comtes., and First Internet Bankcorp, the first bank operating fully online.

Earlier, as CEO, Global Operating Committee Member and Proxy Officer of Korn Ferry International (NYSE: KFY), Ana grew the business as an independent P&L to $500M+ in revenue, scaling it 1,500+ FTEs in 25+ countries. She established the industry’s largest, fastest-growing services and technology business organically and via 8 global M&As while leading the Global Board Effectiveness Practice. Ana introduced innovation – digitizing the Products business, building e-commerce, and digital/social media tech.
Ana was the CEO of The Executives’ Club of Chicago, a Global Senior Managing Partner and P&L Leader at Accenture, and Senior Executive at IBM, CSC, and Marsh & McLennan. She has served on numerous non-profit boards and now serves on the board of the Latino Corporate Directors Association, and others.
