Jessica Ashley Garmon serves as the Chief Operating Officer & the Chief General Counsel of the Will Group, Inc., the pioneer company of several separate and distinct entities in the electrical, lighting, construction, technology, and energy related industries that all operate under the common philosophy, “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way.” Mrs. Garmon is the President of Industrial Electric Supply, Inc., the awarded vendor to fulfill the contract for electrical supplies covering the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (hereinafter, “IPHEC”) facilities that include all the public institutions of higher education in the State of Illinois. This is a historic contract award as this is the first time a minority and woman-owned company has been awarded the contract. Since joining The Will Group in 2017, the organization has grown from approximately 40MM in annual sales to over 120MM. Prior to joining The Will Group, Mrs. Garmon was an attorney at a major law firm in Chicago and a major law firm in Dallas. She practiced under both law firm’s Transaction and Securities division, where she represented clients in a variety of industries. She has concentrated in the area of strategic outside general counsel for emerging mid-sized and large business enterprises, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, private placements, corporate transactions, securities, and finance. Her experience includes counseling both buy-side and sell-side clients with respect to equity and asset purchases and sales of emerging mid-sized and large – business enterprises, strategic entity formations, business transactions, and other corporate matters. Mrs. Garmon has a passion for economic development and has been an active member of Chicago’s business community for several years. She currently serves as a Commissioner for the DuPage County Housing Authority. Reflecting her strong commitment to philanthropy, Mrs. Garmon and her family created nonprofit organizations, which funds programs that have helped individuals find purpose and empowerment.
