Valerie Jarrett is the CEO of The Obama Foundation. She wrote a New York Times best selling book titled Finding My Voice published in 2019. She was the longest serving Senior Advisor to any president serving in the Obama Administration from 2009-2017. Prior to that Jarrett was the CEO of The Habitat Company, Commissioner of Planning and Development for Chicago, Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Daley, and practiced law for ten years.
Jarrett has previously served on numerous public, private and civic boards, including Chair of the Chicago Stock Exchange, Chair of the University of Chicago Medical Center, and Chair of the Chicago Transit Board.
She currently serves on the boards of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Ralph Lauren Inc., Sweetgreen, Ariel Investments, The University of Chicago and Sesame Street Workshop.
