The Chicago Network is a founding member of the InterOrganization Network (ION). Founded in 2004, it consists of ten regional organizations in the United States that advocate the advancement of women to positions of power in the business world, especially to boards of directors and executives suites of public companies. ION's current members include: Board of Directors Network in Atlanta, The Boston Club, The Chicago Network, The Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia, Inforum Center for Leadership in Detroit, Milwaukee Women inc., Women Executive Leadership in Fort Lauderdale, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in California, The Central Exchange in Kansas City and the Financial Women’s Association of New York, Inc. By combining their energies, the members of ION seek to leverage their strengths, expand their influence and substantially increase the number and percentage of women who comprise the leadership of corporate.
